Famed Aussie chef and culinary hottie, Curtis Stone has a new restaurant. But here’s the catch, You’ll need to stretch your sea legs if you want to try it.
Princess Cruises, has decided to kick up their fine dining a notch and bring the restaurant style and flair we are use to enjoying on land out to the water. SHARE by Curtis Stone is the award-winning chef’s first restaurant at sea and is an exclusive pairing between the chef and Princess Cruises. Dishes are served “family style” with plates that encourage sharing among family and friends. I sent my co-hort, designer-by-day, foodie-by-night, Tsz (pronounced Tea) Chan to take a deep dive and see what this experience was all about. She was served a 6-course meal of both surf and turf and was treated to a fun day at sea. Tsz said that her meal was elegant, yet approachable and was definitely a nice step up from more traditional “cruise food.”

Of the varied courses, she said that the seafood dishes were her favorite. Namely the Lemon Poached Prawns with turnip cream and the Lobster Tail (pictured below). She said, “the onion soubise was like a foam that tasted like seafood chowder. The little cubes of pancetta, celery and potatoes made the lobster feel like a deconstructed chowder.” It was a thumbs up.
All in all, Tsz reported back that her meal at SHARE was an elevated, yet unpretentious dining experience that made dining out at sea all the more special.
The special 6-course dinner is available by reservation and costs $39 per per cruise guest.
