Tastemade

A video produced by Tastemade to recap the Japan America Kite Festival in Seal Beach, California. I get to fly a kite, and then interview the creator of the Ramen Burger, Keizo Shimamoto and speak with him about the origins of the famed burger.

As a Tastemade Network Partner since 2012, I have made over 100 videos on their iPhone video app and have travelled to various cities showcasing the best local eateries in America. A few places include San Francisco, Park City, Utah, Hawaii, Chicago and of course Los Angeles. Here is a sample of just a few of the fun episodes shot with the Tastemade App.

While on a visit to the Kona Historial Society in Hawaii, I get a lesson on making Portuguese Bread, a.k.a. Hawaiian Sweet Rolls!

A visit to the famous Wailoa Shave Ice in Honolulu to cool off from the hot Hawaii sun. A must visit when on Oahu!

Lunchtime at one of my favorite taco places in Los Angeles, Guisados.

A video recap of the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival’s Lunch at the Lo’i experience. We visit an 800-year-old fish pond and eat the foods grown on Kamehameha Schools agricultural state lands as prepared by local chefs and farmers.

Backyard Bite visits Dairy Dream Drive-In located in Libertyville, IL, a neighborhood gem since 1961 serving up delicious soft serve ice cream and snacks!

Stopping by The Chocolate Box Café for some gelato and Belgium chocolates at the Lumber Yard in Malibu.

Visiting a favorite lunch spot, Sqirl with a dog named Monkey.
