New drool-worthy pastries at Ramekin! Los Feliz

This weekend, while I was visiting a friend in Los Feliz, I stopped by Ramekin (my favorite made-from-scratch ice cream and dessert shop) to say hi to chef Jason Park (Maru) and grab a cookie to celebrate the end of National Cookie Week (see: food holidays).

Ramekin (btw), makes a pretty darn tasty chocolate chip cookie, so of course, I picked on up, along with a scoop of Earl Grey ice cream to-go. I was ready to be off on my merry little way, but Chef Jason had some other ideas in store for me…

He introduced me to some of Ramekin’s newest treats, including but not limited to; Almond Croissants, Blueberry and Chocolate-Banana Kouign Amanns & Valrhona Chocolate Monkey Brain Croissants. They are crispy, gooey, soft, chewy and perfect with a scoop of ice cream on top — which is just how I served them up when I took them home for dessert that night.
